Eligibility: Authors of papers published in the Proceedings and presented at IROS 2008.
- Procedures
- Nomination: by the Organization Committee with the following
rules: papers must have been nominated at least twice by the reviewers
or papers that have a ranking of at least 4.5 twice with other
ranking never lower than 4
- Award Committee (AC): independent of the Organization Committee.
A General Chair will be member of the Award Committee as an observer
without vote right, in order to provide a logistic help to the AC
- Chair of the Award Committee: Patrick Rives
- Selection criteria: Technical merit, originality,
potential of application, clarity of written paper.

outstanding contributions of an individual of the IROS community who has pioneered
activities in Robtics and Intelligent Systems.
